The Blue Lake Rancheria Building, Construction, and Utilities Department is dedicated to developing and maintaining infrastructure that benefits both the Tribe and the surrounding community, ensuring quality, sustainability, and long-term growth. In addition to overseeing residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, the department specializes in electrical work, ensuring that all wiring and electrical systems meet safety and efficiency standards. Their efforts have been instrumental in the development and maintenance of the Blue Lake Rancheria microgrid. This advanced microgrid provides the Tribe with clean, reliable energy and enhances resilience during power outages. By integrating sustainable practices, such as the microgrid, into their construction projects, the department supports long-term community growth, energy independence, and environmental stewardship. This team also played a big part in the Redwood Coast Airport Microgrid. With the coordination and installation of all PG&E equipment as well as the 12KV Microgrid switchgear.
