Blue Lake Rancheria’s Nutrition Program is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of our community by providing access to nutritious meals and essential food services. Through a variety of initiatives, including meal delivery, educational workshops, and food distribution, we support individuals and families in leading healthy, balanced lives. Our program emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, cultural traditions, and sustainability, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Food Programs
The Tribe offers a range of food programs to serve the Blue Lake Rancheria community, focusing on Tribal members, elders, and children. Each year, staff and volunteers prepare and deliver over 60,000 meals from the kitchen in the Tribal government community center. Additionally, the Tribe has established a community garden that provides fresh, natural foods used in its meal programs and restaurants, promoting sustainability and healthy living.
Examples of the Tribe’s meals programs are:
- Daily Lunch for Tribal Elders
- Meal Delivery Program
- Community Garden
- Food Production and Sales (e.g., honey, produce)
- Annual Elders’ Luncheon
- Emergency Weather Shelter Meals
Meal Delivery Program
Blue Lake Rancheria’s Meal Delivery Program provides nutritious, home-cooked meals to Tribal members, elders, and families in our community. This service is an essential part of our commitment to supporting the well-being of our community.
